If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment details are processed by our payment processor (Stripe). We receive limited billing details such as subscription status, plan, and renewal dates.

1.2 Uploaded Documents

Documents uploaded to our platform by you or your clients are stored temporarily according to your configured retention period. We do not access, view, or analyze the contents of uploaded documents except as necessary to provide the service (e.g., virus scanning) or as required by law.

1.3 Usage Data

We automatically collect certain information when you use our service:

  • IP addresses
  • Browser type and version
  • Pages visited and features used
  • Timestamps of actions
  • Device information

1.4 Client Information

When clients upload documents to your portals, we may collect their IP address and optionally their email address if provided. This information is associated with your account and visible to you as the portal owner.

1.5 Third-Party Authentication (Google Sign-In)

You may choose to create an account or sign in using Google Sign-In. When you do so, Google will share your name, email address, and profile picture with us. We use this information solely to create and manage your Gathery account. We do not receive your Google password.

Your use of Google Sign-In is also subject to Google's Privacy Policy. You can review and revoke Gathery's access to your Google account at any time through your Google Account permissions at https://myaccount.google.com/connections.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To provide, maintain, and improve our services
  • To process and complete transactions
  • To communicate with you about your account, updates, and support
  • To detect, prevent, and address technical issues and security threats

Account information is retained for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:

  • Encryption of data in transit using TLS 1.3
  • Encryption of data at rest using AES-256
  • Secure password hashing using Argon2id
  • Access controls and authentication requirements
  • Automated virus scanning of all uploaded files
